The Quad
On arrival in the new quad there is a feeling of great openness, with an outside space almost the size of Chapel Quad owned partly by Pembroke and partly by neighbouring Campion Hall, with a grove of trees next to the boundary wall.
The Pembroke quad cascades down to ground level and incorporates several terraced garden areas before the ground level lawn is reached.
Balancing the need to be sensitive to their context, in terms of history and architecture, has resulted in buildings which are practical and classic and designed so as not to jar with the surrounding area.
